I’ve always loved the verse: The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: And he delighteth in his way. Psalm 37:23 KJV

However, I so rarely take into consideration the next verse: Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: For the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. Psalm 37:24 KJV

It doesn’t say if he falls. It says THOUGH he fall. Because guess what, in this journey called life, we WILL fall. But we don’t have to stay there. It is not written that when you fall, you are cast down, unforgiven, that’s it, the end.

No, even if your steps are ordered by the LORD, you will still fall sometimes.

And when you do, the LORD himself, will pick you up, hold you up, dust you off, and keep leading you by the hand.

A fall is not the end of the story. I don’t know who needs to hear this? Maybe I am just needing to encourage myself today.

We will fall. And we are not meant to stay down. We get up and continue the mission.

God is with us.
He is for us.
He won’t leave us.
He won’t fail us.
He won’t forsake us.
His mercies are new each morning.
