Pour It Out

Hello ☀️
I hope this week is treating everyone kindly.

You know, in Luke 18, Jesus tells  of the widow who goes to the unjust judge daily to ask: “Avenge me of my adversary.” And because of her persistence, he avenges her. How much more will God, who is just, avenge His elect?

David wrote Psalm 142, a prayer. He pours out his complaint before God. David tells Him his troubles.

Do you do that?

Sometimes, we think our troubles or complaints are too big or too small and we don’t pour them out before God. We don’t tell Him.

That’s nonsense.

I have learned to pour it out. Every single thing that troubles me. No matter how grand or how minor. I’ve learned to keep bringing it up before the LORD until I see the end.

Usually, He’s already taken care of it, long before I even saw it as an issue. Long before I even had a complaint. But I still take it to Him day after day, until I see a change. Until I see His hand.

This is how faith is built.

It doesn’t matter how big or small, we serve a God who cares. We serve a God who wants to be invited into every part of our lives.
