We read 2 Samuel 1 a few days ago as a family and verse 14 has lingered with me…
David asks the Amelikite who slayed Saul, how could it be that he wasn’t afraid to destroy the Lord’s anointed?
That has stuck with me. Largely because of how the world is that we live in today. People have no qualms about destroying the people of God.
Granted, it may not be a physical killing of the body (although, this is happening in some parts of the world). What we see in the USA is slander, gossip, exclusion, discrimination, and the list goes on. We have seen legal conflicts over religious freedom. We have seen vandalism, the threat of violence, and actual violence against churches.
And yet, there is no fear.
There used to be reverence and respect for the house of God and people of God. But now that seems to have vanished into thin air.
Hebrews 10:31 KJV tells us: “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
God fights for His people. While the persecutors may seem to “get away” with their persecutions against the children of God, it is only for a season. No one gets away with anything.
“To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; Their foot shall slide in due time: For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things that shall come upon them make haste.” Deuteronomy 32:35 KJV
My prayer today is that everyone will come to a place of repentance. There is forgiveness for ALL.
All people.
All sins.

Very inspiring message, you took that beginning scripture and made it fit in today’s times. I don’t know how people can do the things they do and not show any remorse for it, it’s like there physical hearts are made of stone. Church use to be my safe place, but now even the church has become so worldly. There was a time you couldn’t curse at church, people do it all the time, I seen people flirt with other people spouses in church, who do you blame? God gives clear instructions on alot of things, we just fail to do it. I leave you with this “But God”

I am reminded of your profound insight, Jessica. The Lord told us that these things must and they will come to pass. Prophecy is for filling right before our eyes. Everyday and all day I try to live in repentance life. See Satan, ( slew foot) comes like a thief in the night. I’m so grateful that I serve a God of LOVE AND FORGIVENESS. I’M also reminded of the scripture, TOUCH NOT MY ANOINTED AND DO MY SERVANT NO HARM. We have to pray for those who persecute us for no reason. I am learning that no matter what, The Lord is in the middle of ALL that we go through. I pray daily to allow The Lord to fight my battles. Every time I try or think that I’m fixing my problems. I have learned that I can’t do it without The Lord. At my age, I am seeing The Bible fulfilling. I have every morning that I open my eyes, That The Lord has already gone before me. I always ask myself, what am I doing in my waiting period. jessica, thank you for reminding me that no matter what, GOD IS GOD OVER everything in my life. I love Jessica and I am grateful for the word this morning. LORD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU AND USE YOU FOR HIS SERVICE ☝🏼🩵🌸🙏🏼

You are right, it is written, and it’s only going to get worse. And I know that God fights for His children, we have definitely seen that in so many ways in our lives and our family. Love you too 🤍✨
