No Matter What

During our nightly family Bible Study, I noticed that my youngest tends to start at least one of her takeaways from the reading with, “No matter what…” And I secretly love hearing her say it!

A while back however, I started thinking… “No matter what…” God loves us, “no matter what.” His mercy extends to us, “no matter what.” NOTHING can separate us from the love of God, “no matter what.”

There’s nowhere His love won’t go!

His love for us is unconditional. We don’t deserve it. We can’t earn. We can’t lose it. He loves us, no matter what.

I’m so thankful for that love today.

I’ve lived a life full of ups and downs, mistakes, falls, and failures – yet, I know that God has loved me through it all – no matter what. He loves me in the lowest valleys and on the mountain top. There is nothing that I have ever done that has changed God’s love for me.

Isn’t that something to be thankful for today?

What a powerful and positive message to start the day with. I am reminded of Joseph, the one who had the coat of many colors.

His father had a deeper love for him than the rest of his children. It’s a sad thing when a parent does that, but the point that needs to be made is that Joseph went through alot, he had to endure jealousy, the pit, a lying wife, prison, & then the palace.

Did Joseph ever believe that God’s love for him in those events somehow stopped, I am not sure, but if I had to guess I would say he may have thought about it, but it never overwhelmed him. We too have moments of despair, but thank God that we can be reminded of God’s love through others like our children, with statements like “No Matter What”

You know, that’s a great call-out. And when we start Joseph’s story in the Word, he’s just a child. Joseph endured trials as a child that would have completely destroyed the faith and trust for many adults. But as a child and young adult, he displayed a “no matter what” faith and trust in God.
I have found “no matter what,” to be a strong statement of God’s love towards us and a profession my of faith in God.
