What Does Your Life Reflect?

From as early as I can remember, my Mama told me to pray for discernment.

And I did.

I learned to pray for the gifts and fruit of the Spirit, early on. I didn’t realize until I was much older that she was teaching me to pray for a life that reflects Jesus Christ.

In His ministry, Jesus Christ taught that His disciples/followers would be known by their love.

I love Galatians 5:22-23 because it outlines the fruit of the Holy Spirit. The fruit that we as believers possess – proof that God’s Spirit abides in us.

Just like water reflects what it sees, our lives reflect what’s in our hearts.

True followers of Jesus Christ, are known by the fruit they bear as evidenced by the lives they live.

      Thank God for the Positive Mothers & Fathers. I have been in church all my life and I would say only a few years back did I start to pray for discernment.

      I heard about discernment, but I’ve always believed that if you prayed, God would give it too you by default. Until I read Philippians 4:6, God gives us all the instructions we need.

      Thank you for reminding us of things we sometimes tend to neglect.
